At PV Coin Shop & Gold Jewelry Buyers we are constantly buying silver coins and silver bars from locals.  Often, the value of a collectable silver coin can be severely impacted by the coin’s condition.  To protect the condition of silver coins, we recommend you store them inside an airtight, sturdy container.  It is also a great idea to add a desiccant to the container.  You want to keep your coins from being negatively affected by Florida’s intense humidity.  For bulk storage you can buy 30 caliber ammo cans online, and if you make sure you get ones with an air and water-tight seal, you will have a great container to protect your coins from humidity and accidental damage.  Put the ammo cans inside of your safe and then they will be protected from burglars as well.  For extremely valuable coins we recommend you pay to have them authenticated, graded, and encased by NGC.
